Jesus is Messiah

This month's theme is: "Jesus is the Messiah."

Our BIG idea: We believe Jesus is the Messiah, the special one sent by God.

Bible Verse (not the same on as Biblemaniacs): "You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God." Matthew 16:16

Be sure not to miss Live BIG as we catch up with the gang at The Station, learn about Jesus and those he came in contact with and learn what it means to Live BIG in our world!

The Great Commandment

May's workshops were great! You got to help others, learn what it means to love others and make a visual reminder to do so!

In the audio visual workshop, you were asked three questions. Here are some random answers to those questions:

1. How Do I Love God?
  • praying and reading the Bible
  • coming to Sunday School
  • being kind
  • coming to church
2. How Do I Love Others?
  • be nice
  • tell them about God and pray for them
  • helping the to succeed
  • respecting others
  • talking to them
3. How I Love Myself...
  • giving myself hugs
  • build up my self esteem
  • being nice to myself
  • going to school and learning
  • being myself
  • I don't hurt me
Awesome answers everyone!

Natalie Rocks!

I wish I had a picture...but they didn't allow them! Last night I went to see Natalie in "The Wizard of Oz Jr." She played a flying monkey and did a GREAT job! I hope this will not be the last play Natalie gets to perform in at Kirk Community Center!

Memory Verse

"Jesus replied: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind.'This is the first and greatest commandment.
And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

Matthew 22:37-39

I'm BAAACK!

Hi Everyone!

I got back Sunday evening and now have to get back into work mode! :) The conference was great and Craig was really, really, REALLY funny! We got to meet two of his kids (his daughter was on a field trip and didn't want to miss it...she was adopted from Kazakhstan) and found out that Natalie no longer works for Craig. She married one of the Pastors and the church has a rule that you cannot be married to anyone else on staff.

I hope you are enjoying "Rescue 911" and I can'r wait to see what they have for us this week!

A new rotation starts on the 14th so Sunday I will be writing down who has April's verse memorized and by tomorrow I will try and have this month's verse here on the blog. So, be sure to check it out!

I'll post some photos later!

MIss You Guys!

Here I am in "The OC." I was going to go to Disneyland with a friend today...but I looked up some stuff and today is a black out date for her. Gina has an annual passport, but hers has dates she can't go to Disneyland because of tourists! Today is one of those days. So, we will do something else!

I took this yesterday at the Lego store at Downtown Disney!

More later! I'll try and get a picture of Craig (from the Children's Church DVD) when the conference starts!

Easter Pictures!

Even thought it rained...I think we had a great Easter Egg Hunt this year! Wasn't awesome that the Easter Bunny came and visited the younger kids? That helped make a rainy day a bit brighter!

Our Jr. High helpers, Michelle Sam and Caitlin Shriner, did a FANTASTIC job of hiding the eggs in very creative places! I wouldn't be surprised if a 3-5 year old classroom teacher or Stella came to us and said they were still finding eggs! Watching the older kids tear through the Jr. High and Children Church rooms was really funny. Too funny. You all didn't let me get a lot of pictures! No time to pose...gottta find chocolate!

For those of you who had their last Easter Egg Hunt as a participant, I hope you will be back next year to help hid eggs and help to keep on eye on the younger kids. For those of you who WILL be back to hunt another year...I hope we don't get rained out again!

Easter Sunday!

This Easter, be here for our Easter Egg Hunt AND the WPC "Premiere" of the newest Veggie Tales, "Sheerluck Holmes and The Golden Ruler."

After the Children's Message ALL kids 3 years through 5th grade will head to the Bible Times Theater (Room E-223) to decorate their bags and watch the film. During "Sheerluck," the kids will be excused by age to the front lawn to hunt for eggs. After the hunt, kids will return to the theater to finish watching the film and may be picked up there after our worship service.

If you have any questions, please call me at church or at home!

April Memory Verse/Biblemaniacs

Okay...this is so easy you ALL should be able to memorize it. It is two words...but very important ones:

"Follow me." John 21:19

This month we are going to look at the sightings of Jesus AFTER His death and resurrection. First off, we will all be together playing some games that sort of recreate some of the times Jesus appeared to His disciples.

Easter Sunday? See the above "blurb".

April 23rd and 30th you will either be in the Soul Kitchen or you will here from Peter and his experiences with Jesus.

So plan to be here, bring a friend and memorize that verse!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We will be in the Craetion Station, Soul Kitchen and the Fun Zone/Bible Times Theater.

Here is our memory verse:

"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost." Luke 19:10
